I would like to thank Steve Newman, Ken Hoffpauir, Michael Castagnetta, Carson and Carter Davis and Remy Hoffpauir for supporting the District Arrow of Light Ceremony at the Rennaisance Festival tonight.  Their support was definitely noticed and job well done.  I would also like to congratulate Cooper Davis for achieving the Arrow of Light Award.  Cooper will be bridging into Troop 610.  We wish you great success in your Scouting journey.

Hello all.  This update will be a short one.  There will be a meeting today for all Sea Base participants. A lot of information will be given.  It is scheduled for 3PM today, Sunday, January 24th, at PJs Coffee on Hwy 59 and I-12 (by the McDonalds).  Michael plans to reach out to both Landon and Carson and let them know how they can participate virtually.

Troop 85 Update, 1/9/2020

Posted on Jan 9 2021 - 9:17pm

Next weekend, the Scouts of Troop 85 will be camping at Comer Scout Reservation and hiking the trails of DeSoto State Park in Northern Alabama.  Because of COVID contact tracing we have two (possibly three) adults and five Scouts attending.  A small group, but they should have a great weekend.  On that note, I should say that it is extremely disappointing that some people simply refuse to register, or send their regrets for our events.  Obviously, there is no undestanding, or simply a lack of caring for what it takes to plan these events.  The simple courtesy of registering or sending regrets really could take the guess work out of this equation and potentially save the Troop money.  Please see the details for the weekend on the Troop Calendar.  Simply click on the event and the details will show.

Troop 85 Update, 1/2/2020

Hello everyone!  I hope everyone has faired well during this holiday season.  I want to wish everyone a happy and most prosperous of New Year.  I also hope everyone is ready to get back at it.  This is the first eBlast of 2021 and I know everyone is wishing for a return to some normality this year.  That nasty little COVID bug is still lurking out there and we will continue to exercise the necessary precautions to insure our families and program is safe.
